Black Bean Brownies With Avacado Superlicious Fudge Spread!

Have you tried a black bean brownie?  I have and they are so good!  This recipe is perfect if you are trying to feed your family more nutritious snacks!  A very healthy alternative to regular brownies!

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 Cups soft cooked black beans

  • 1/3 Cup agave nectar
  • 1/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 Tbsp walnut pieces

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease an 8x8" pan and set aside.
  2. Combine all ingredients, except oats, in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth, scrapping sides as needed.
  3. Stir in the oats and pour batter into the pan.
  4. Bake approx 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool before icing.
Superlicious Fudge Spread

  4. I'm not going to lie... I have heard of these brownies before and am hesitant to try them. I'm a brownie lover and they are my Achilles Heel! I first saw them on Hungry Girl's website and the nutritional stats are stellar compared to the traditional. The avocado topping is something I have not heard of. I really need to be brave and give these a try. I trust your opinion on these.

  10. Sooo excited! I have a pan of these in the oven last night because my awesome hubby brought me cocoa last night. I dont' have avocados left because I used them in my guacamole, but I will at least have SOMETHING. I think I'll make my yogurt cheese frosting to go with!
